2.6 million pound office development and urban regeneration scheme with integrated landscaping

 

The very tight site sits between existing council offices and a housing association residential development positioned along the Regent’s Canal in the Lisson Grove area of Paddington.  The site is elevated from the canal by approximately 5 metres, formed by a retaining wall.

 

The form of the new building continues the containment of the canal begun by the existing offices from the Lisson Grove bridge over the canal.   The intention was to incorporate urban planting along the canal to provide safe and private outdoor amenity spaces. The landscape scheme is based around artistic references to the industry of the Regents Canal area..
